Fianna Fáil TD Brendan Smith brought up the ongoing issue of power outages in Cavan and Monaghan with An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin at Leader's Questions in the Dáil yesterday.
Deputy Smith stated that the major cause of the outages in this region is poor tree maintenance. He called for an inspection programme to be introduced to ensure plantations are properly maintained going forward.
