Meta is expected to announce this week it's culling thousands of jobs.

The Tánaiste's expected to hold talks with the IDA today as fears mount for yet more Irish tech jobs.

Facebook's parent company - Meta - is expected to announce this week it's culling thousands of jobs, including from its Irish workforce of over 3,000.

The Wall Street Journal reports this will be the largest number of lay-offs announced by a tech firm this year.

It comes hot on the heels of Twitter cutting half its Irish workforce, and payments firm Stripe confirming it's to let 14% of its staff go.
