A suspected case of bird flu has been detected on a poultry farm in Co Monaghan.
Northern Sound FM understands that samples have been taken from the site and have been sent to a laboratory for confirmation.
It's understood that the detection was made on a poultry farm in the Scotstown area of Monaghan. Over the weekend there was a suspected case on a poultry farm in Co Tyrone, where 64,000 birds were culled to prevent any possible spread of the virus.
