One in five Irish companies are not Brexit ready, according to a recent Enterprise Ireland survey.
It found that a fifth of companies are “still in the process of understanding what they need to do” ahead of the January 1st Brexit deadline.
Giles O’Neill, manager of the Brexit Unit with Enterprise Ireland, says he was surprised by the findings, especially since 75% of companies also highlighted customs and logistics as a major issue.
He said that while companies don’t need to panic yet, they do need to take action now and can’t put off measures until the last minute.
