A number of suicide awareness events are scheduled to take place across Cavan in honour of World Suicide Prevention Day.
The theme of this year's World Suicide Prevention Day which takes place tomorrow, September 10th is 'Creating Hope through action'.
Cavan County Library Service and Pieta have partnered to organise an Information workshop for parents/concerned adults on Understanding Suicide
and Self-harm.
This is taking place on Tuesday, 12 September from 6pm - 7.30pm in Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan.
Meanwhile, suicide bereavement training for professionals will take place on Monday the 11th of September at the Errigal Hotel, Cootehill, from 9am -
5pm.
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training will also take place on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd September in the Errigal Hotel, Cootehill,
from 9am - 5pm.
Elsewhere in Cavan, safeTALK training will take place on Friday October 6th in Hub Muinchille, Cootehill, from 9.30am - 1pm.
