A stricter licencing system should be brought into law for dog owners here.
That's the view of Ciaran Walsh founder of Dog Internet of Things and his based in Gowna.
The Cavan native said that tree fatalities occurred from dog bites in Ireland between 2017 and 2021. He said that the control of dogs actually was not breached in the three recorded fatalities in order to save lives. His comments come following a call from one dog behaviourist in Leinster House yesterday, where Nanci Creedon said a theory test should be necessary to obtain a dog licence.
The dog trainer said that everyone in society can play a part by ensuring there is an excellent level of dog welfare in the country. Ciaran says education is key to minimise the risk dogs pose to the public.
