The strategy of 'living with the virus' can be stopped through action along the border.
That's according to DCU Professor Anthony Staines, who is also a member of the Independent Scientist Advocacy Group, which has presented a number of recommendations to Cabinet to get ahead of the virus.
Professor Staines says he is not suggesting the border close, instead, wants to see a system similar to Australia with strict checkpoints, authority given to Gardaí, and definitive controls.
