  • Local Gardaí are asking motorists to avoid unnecessary journeys and if you are travelling to be extra vigilant.
  • As of 00.30am there are over 5,000 homes, farms and businesses without electricity across Cavan and Monaghan.
  • The orange warning is in place until 2am for Cavan and Monaghan.
  • The R198 will be closed overnight at Drumelis due to trees down.
  • Statement from Bus Eireann: As it is forecast that Storm Isha will subside during the night, schools are expected to open as normal tomorrow morning and School Bus services will in operation. They are recommending that you check locally for any impact due to storm damage.
  • The PSNI has said that extreme weather conditions are putting significant pressure on the emergency 999 system, adding that emergency services are currently responding to a large number of incidents.
  • Tree down on Killeshandra to Milltown Road at Deralk. Fire service are in attendance.
  • A tree is down close to Blackhill football club near Castleblayney.
  • A tree has fallen adjacent to Killinkere National School.
  • Bailieboro Community School says the school will now open at 11am tomorrow due to health and safety reasons.
  • 32 customers are without electricity in Killeshandra.
  • The Moynalty to Bailieboro Road is currently closed due to a fallen tree.
  • 961 customers are currently without electricity in the wider Oldcastle area.
  • Tree down in Gowlan, Co Cavan.
  • Reports of a lot of broken branches on the  Scotshouse to Clones Road.
  • Carrickmacross to Crossmaglen Road is currently blocked due to a number of trees blocking the road.
  • The Drumconrath Road just outside Carrickmacross is blocked due to a fallen tree approx 1km from the town.
  • 948 customers are without electricity tonight in the wider Carrigallen area.
  • 737 customers are affected by a power outage in Ballybay.
  • Tree down at gem oils in Ballyhaise.
  • Tree down on the castletara to Cootehill Road.
  • Creeny Road is completely blocked after a tree fell.
  • Tree down on N2 northbound just before Carrick turn off.

  • L5161/L1135 - Local road between Davagh Cross and the N2, North of Emyvale os closed due to a fallen tree.
  • R162 Ballybay to Shercock Road is closed.
  • Ballybay Rockcorry Road is closed due to a fallen tree.
  • The Cremartin Monaghan Road is closed for the night.
  • The R183 Newbliss Swans Cross Road will also remain closed for the night.
  • Due to a large fallen tree on the school avenue, blocking access to the school, Monaghan Collegiate School will remain closed tomorrow.
  • Over 170,000 homes, farms and businesses across the country are without electricity tonight.
  • Trees down at Deerpark, Ballyjamesduff Rd, Virginia.
  • Trees blocking road between Crossdoney and Cavan.
  • 1322 customers are without electricity in Cootehill at present.
  • There are overhead power lines blocking the Cootehill to Bunnoe Road, please avoid the area.
  • 109 customers are affected by a power cut in Cavan Town.
  • 715 customers are currently affected by a power outage in Clones.
  • Council teams from across Cavan and Monaghan and out in force working to clear roads that have been impacted by fallen trees due to Storm Isha.
  • A large tree is down across the R198 outside Cavan Town, at the entrance to Cavan County Golf Club. Fire service is in attendance.
  • Tree down in Scotstown to Tydavnet road. Be careful out there, and stay safe.

  • A tree is down just past Leggykelly Inn Cavan road on the N54.
  • A tree is down at Connolly's Bridge near Ballinode. The road is currently impassable at present.
  • A tree is down on R188 Earlsvale Rd, Cavan Town. Fire brigade in attendance
  • A tree is down on R199 at Marahill, Killeshandra. The Fire brigade is currently in attendance.
  • A tree is down on the N3 Dublin Road at Poles. Fire brigade in attendance with caution advised on approach on the N3.
