Met Éireann issued the status yellow rainfall warning for the county yesterday.
Spells of heavy rain moving eastwards over Ireland were predicted with 25 to 40 mm of rain and a risk of localised flooding.

An alert was also issued for parts of the west, south, and east coasts in counties Wexford, Wicklow, Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry and Waterford.
