A status yellow rain warning remains in place for 13 counties until eleven o'clock this morning.
Met Eireann says spells of heavy rain brings the potential for localised flooding.
The counties under the warning are Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Dublin, Kildare, Longford, Louth, Meath, Westmeath, Leitrim, Mayo, Roscommon and Sligo.

The outlook for the week ahead is a mix of cloud and sunny spells with showers with afternoon temperatures of between 15 and 18 degrees.
