Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow ice warning for Ireland.
The weather warning is in place this evening from 6pm until 12pm tomorrow.
Met Eireann is advising motorists to exercise caution tonight, especially on untreated roads and footpaths.
Tonight will be cold with clear spells and showers. The showers will be most frequent in western areas, with some wintry falls likely.
Pockets of freezing fog will also form in the mostly light northerly winds.
Lowest temperatures will range from -3 to +1 degrees, with a widespread frost and some icy patches forming.
