The new Virginia library will open its doors to the public from 10am this morning.
Virginia Civic, Cultural, and the Library Services Centre has been built up around the historic Ramor Theatre, which first opened in 1999.
The Cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council, Cllr Philip Brady, said there is a symbiotic relationship between the library and theatre which is a marriage made in Heaven.
The local councillor added that it's not beyond the realms of possibility that young minds inspired in Virginia library could one day see their work performed at Ramor Theatre.
Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys said that the Virginia Civic Cultural and Library Services Centre will play a key role in the day to day life of the wider community of Virginia.
County Librarian Emma Clancy says it's great to finally see the doors open later this morning on the local library.
