The starting of production at the Newbaze facility in Carrickmacross has been delayed until next year.
Councillors in the local Municipal District were told the Covid-19 pandemic had led to delays in the certification of products.
The Newbaze facility was officially opened last November with the announcement of the creation of 60 new jobs.
The Chinese company bought the former Bose factory almost two years after it closed with the loss of 150 jobs.
However, production is yet to begin at the site because of delays with the certification of products from the factory.
This is due to measures put in place both in Ireland and China to mitigate against the spread of Covid-19.
Councillors were told the process is expected to recommence shortly.
If successful it's expected production will begin in early 2021.
