The HSE is continuing to rollout it's Spring Covid-19 booster vaccines across Cavan and Monaghan. The vaccine programme is directed at those aged 70 years and older, residents of long-term care facilities for older adults and people aged 5 years and older with a weak immune system.
With the programme kicking-off in Castleblayney earlier today, Paula Loughran from the Monaghan and Cavan vaccination hub spoke to Northern Sound.
She explained how this spring booster will offer "extra protection" to those with weakened immune systems who are planning to travel abroad this summer, and vice versa keep those with weakened immune systems safe at home from those who are travelling back from foreign countries.
