Members of the Cavan Roads Policing Unit conducted a number of speed checks across the county this week. Speed checks were conducted on the R205 Ballyconnell to Derrylin road.
This area holds a 60kmph speed limit with busy industrial units and businesses within the locality. According to local Gardaí, a number of motorists were detected travelling almost twice the speed limit and as a result, fixed payment notices were issued.
Elsewhere, speed checks were also conducted on the Crosskeys Road, where once again excessive speeds were detected and fixed payment notices were issued.
