A special screening of Neil Jordan's 1996 film Michael Collins will take place at the Omniplex Cinema in Monaghan town on Tuesday, September 6th at 7pm.
Fine Gael teamed up with the cinema group to screen the film at 18 locations across the country to mark the 100th anniversary of the death of Collins.
He was one of the seminal figures of the struggle for independence.

Meanwhile, it's 26 years since the release of the acclaimed film and for some, this will be their first time to see it.
