Monaghan Toastmasters is holding a special event on Tuesday next, the 12th of September that will focus on the art of storytelling.
Toastmasters was set up many years ago with the aim to help people improve their public speaking skills with clubs located right across the entire Shannonside Northern Sound region.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Donagh McKeon from Monaghan Toastmasters says the art of storytelling is an important skill that is at the heart of becoming a better public speaker.
It's a free event and will give people a chance to see what Toastmasters do in Monaghan and perhaps encourage local people to consider joining the club.
The free event is being held in St Joseph's Hall, Broad Road, in Monaghan on Tuesday next at 8:30pm.
