Gardaí in Co Monaghan are appealing for information in relation to a number of burglaries which have taken place across the region. Gardaí in Castleblayney are currently investigating a burglary which took place at a home in Black Island View. The incident took place on evening of Saturday the 10th of February between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. Gardaí is encouraging anyone who noticed anything unusual
or suspicious to get in touch.
A further burglary took place over the weekend of Friday the 16th of February to Sunday the 18th of February on the Drumconrath Road in
Carrickmacross where a home was forcibly opened. Elsewhere, a burglary took place at a home in area of Lisaquill, Broomfeild. According to local Gardaí, a house was broken into at around 7.30pm on the evening of Wednesday the 21st of February.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the Lisaquill area on the evening in question is asked to contact their local Garda Station. Also in the Co Monaghan area, criminal damage was caused to a home in Drumbear Wood, Monaghan Town. Damage took place between 5am on Saturday the 2nd of March and 2pm on Sunday the 3rd of March. In relation to all incidents, Garda Lisa Stevens of Bailieborough Garda Station is appealing for witnesses to come forward.
