Gardaí in Monaghan are appealing for information on a series of burglaries in the county.
They're also urging members of the public to be vigilant to phone scams.
The first incident occurred in the Clonturk area of Carrickmacross between 7:30pm on the 2nd of June and 10am on the 3rd of June. Forced entry was made to a house in that area and Gardaí are appealing to anyone who noticed anything suspicious at the time to contact them. The second incident happened in the Corrintra area of Castleblayney between 6pm on June 11th and 5pm on the 12th of June. A garden shed was broken into and a number of items were stolen including a lawnmower, a strimmer, and a power washer. Meanwhile Gardaí in Carrickmacross are investigating a burglary at a house in the Corrybrennan Park area of Ballybay which happened between 6:30pm and 7pm on June 22nd. They are particularly interested in the movements of a black Seat Leon car seen in the area at the time. It's believed the car travelled on the road between Carrickmacross and Ballybay on the evening in question. Anyone who was travelling on the road at the time and may have met this car is asked to make contact with Gardaí.
Garda Tracey Donoghue is also urging people to be aware of phone scams and to never give out personal details.
