The SOSAD Cavan branch is inviting people to remember a loved one with a special event to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.
SOSAD works to raise awareness and help prevent suicide in Ireland and will host today's event with support from Teach Oscail Family Resource Centre.
From 2 to 8 pm at the Old Abbey Land in Cavan, people will have the opportunity to paint a stone in memory of a loved one and light a candle.
SOSAD, which has seven offices across Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, and Meath, is also inviting people to join them this Sunday between 6.30 am and 6.30 pm for a 7 kilometre walk - one kilometre for each of their offices.
There are 27 venues across the four counties where people can collect their registration t-shirts.
