The Social Protection Minister says there are no plans to re-open the Pandemic Unemployment Payment.
Local Minister Heather Humphreys says the number of people on the live register has actually fallen in the last week.
That's despite the hospitality sector reporting a big drop off in business since the midnight curfew was introduced.
