A status yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been issued locally.
The warning that has been issued by Met Eireann takes in five counties including Cavan and Monaghan.
According to Met Eireann poor visibility could lead to difficult travelling conditions tonight and early tomorrow morning.

The warning comes into effect from 10pm this evening until 9am tomorrow morning. Counties Leitrim, Donegal and Louth are also under the status yellow weather warning.
