SME Recovery Ireland says around €15 billion in support measures is needed for small and medium businesses.
John Moran, former Secretary General at the Department of Finance and Chair of SME Recovery, says such measures are required due to the damage that has been caused to SMEs and to consumer confidence.
He is warning that many small businesses face closure, and a local business owner in Carrickmacross says the current government supports have not been enough.
Hairdressers and beauticians are not due to open until July 20th, and Charlene McMahon, of Touch and Glow Beauty clinic, says they have been trying to make the best of the situation.
