Six people were taken to Cavan General Hospital for injuries they received in a road collision in Ballybay on Monday night.
The matter has been referred to GSOC and gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a two vehicle collision on Monday, 8th August at Corraskea in Ballybay.
The collision occurred at around 9.30pm.
Six people were taken to Cavan General Hospital to receive treatment for their injuries, but none of these injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
A technical examination has since been completed by Forensic Collision Investigators.
As one of the vehicles involved had an interaction with gardaí shortly before the collision, the matter has been referred to GSOC.
Gardaí are asking for anyone who may have witnessed this collision, or who may have information, to contact Castleblayney Garda Station, the Garda Confidential Line, or any Garda Station.
They are particularly interested in anyone who had seen a silver 2005 Volkswagen Passat, with a blue rear right-door.
