The exact boundaries in which Sinn Fein will employ across Co Monaghan in the lead-up to the general election are yet to be determined.
That's according to Deputy Matt Carthy who is running as a candidate in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency.
Sinn Fein adopted a three candidate strategy across both Cavan and Monaghan after adding Cllr Cathy Bennett to the ticket less than a week ago.
She joins sitting TDs Matt Carthy and Pauline Tully who were officially selected to run in early September.
Speaking to Shannonside Northern Sound, Deputy Carthy said he is "absolutely assured" that Sinn Fein will have a fair division of the constituency in
order for each candidate to have a "fighting chance."
