A local Sinn Féin TD says funding for the Clontibret to the Border N2 Road scheme has been diverted to Eamon Ryan's "pet projects".
It was one of a number of projects to be stalled by the TII in January.
The Ardee to Castleblayney part of the scheme remains on track after a one million euro allocation.
Matt Carthy says the government has "serious questions to answer" and has called on the Transport Minister, Eamon Ryan, to "reverse the decision to shelve" the project.
