Sinn Féin has been accused of bringing "a Trump like discourse to Ireland" by local Minister Heather Humphreys.
She made the comments in a speech defending Tánaiste Leo Varadkar during the motion of confidence debate.
The Cavan-Monaghan TD said despite the Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges it brings, Sinn Féin was instead deciding to partake in "cheap political stunts" by tabling the motion of no confidence.
