Monaghan Peace Campus marked a significant milestone on Saturday 21st September with its community open day against the backdrop of World Peace Day.
Children from Foróige rang out the bells at midday and they celebrated the County Museum's 50th Anniversary with a host of activities that serenaded to a chorus of music from local bands and musicians. The Peace Campus is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to promoting peace through education, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
It will serve as a hub for peacebuilding activities, bringing together individuals, organizations, and communities to collaborate on initiatives that contribute to a more harmonious and inclusive society. Services provided include the town library, County Museum, Foróige and youth services hub, hire spaces and programmes focused on conflict resolution and peace studies.
