There has been a significant increase in the 14-day Covid rate in Monaghan.
It now has the third highest per 100,000 fortnightly Covid rate in the country, just behind Dublin and Donegal.
This day last week the HSPC's 14 day report, which has focused on data between the 8th and 21st of September, described a 14-day Covid rate for Monaghan of 37.5 with 23 cases recorded in the space of a fortnight.
Information published by the HSPC today shows the county's 14-day rate has grown to the third highest in the country at 135.2 with 83 cases in the last two weeks.
Cavan's rate is at 47.3.
The national average is 88.5 with Dublin at 156.0 and Donegal's rate the highest in the country at 204.
