A unique opportunity is being offered for people on the border region to view a key piece of Northern Ireland’s history.
Marking the 25th Anniversary of the Agreement, people locally have the chance to view the UK Government’s signed copy of the Belfast Good Friday Agreement.
Usually held at The National Archives in London, the UK Government’s signed copy of the Belfast Good Friday Agreement will be on display today in Co Fermanagh.
Today, the Agreement will travel to Enniskillen Castle and will be available for the public to visit it from 12.30pm until 4pm.
These viewings are part of a wider programme of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council to mark the 25th anniversary of the signing of this agreement.
The exhibition, ‘Peace Heroines’, forms part of a new education programme about the pivotal role of women in the Northern Ireland peace process and the exhibition will be open to the public in Enniskillen Castle from May 1st until the 25th of June 2023.
