There's been a slight drop in the number of people claiming the Pandemic Unemployment Payment across the Northern Sound region.
Nationwide, 110,700 people received the payment this week, a fall of 3,842 on last week.
€28.66 million in PUP payments were paid out this week to these 110,700 people across the country.
Minister for Social Protection Heather Humphreys said "it's worth remembering that at the peak of the virus last year, over 602,000 people availed of the payment in a single week".
The PUP was cut by €50 last week, and another cut is due on November 16th as the government moves to align it with the standard jobseekers payments.
1,438 people are in receipt of the payment in Cavan, down 38 on last week's figure of 1,476.
55 fewer people are on the payment in Monaghan, with 1,359 getting the payment this week.
