A local restaurant has stepped in to provide its services.

Local authorities around the country have set up community hubs in areas worst affected by Storm Eowyn.

The National Emergency Co-ordination Group says these hubs are assisting people with their basic needs, including water, hot food, phone charging and access to shower facilities.

In the village of Mullagh in County Cavan, a local restaurant has stepped in to provide its services, as the parish centre is without power and water.

Killian’s Lodge Owner, Michael Farrelly, has been using a generator and his own well water to stay open for members of the public.
