The Shannonside Northern Sound Region has received just over €438,000 to support sport and physical activity measures locally.
€7.3 million from the Dormant Accounts Fund is being allocated to support community groups across the country.
This aim of this funding is to support physical activity and sport for all ages, and abilities in counties across Ireland, with a particular focus on people with disabilities, people who are educationally disadvantaged, and those from disadvantaged areas.
The money will be given to Local Sports Partnerships under various programme initiatives.
In the Northern Sound Region Cavan will get €50,000 towards two for Community Sports and Physical Activity Hubs, €15,000 for the Cavan LSP under the Sports Inclusion Disability Programme Capital Supports initiative, as well as €19,702 for urban outdoor adventure programmes.
Monaghan will benefit from €40,000 for the Ballybay CSPA Hub, €10,500 for the LSP which also includes the disability programme and over €35,000 (€35,100) for urban outdoor initiatives.
Meanwhile in the Shannonside region Leitrim is set to see the largest allocation for CSPA hubs in the county at €92,000 , with €15,000 also allocated to volunteer training.
Longford will get €81,000 for CSPA hubs, with €10,000 going towards their Disability Programme initiatives.
And finally Roscommon will receive €10,400 for disability programmes and €3,500 for youth leadership projects.
