Shannonside Northern Sound has launched our “Let’s Do It for Hospice – Everybody has a link to cancer” campaign.
The fundraising and awareness drive runs up until September 4th and aims to raise as much money as possible for Northwest Hospice, County Longford Hospice Homecare, St Christopher’s Hospice Home Care in Cavan and Monaghan and Roscommon Mayo Hospice – which is currently under construction in Roscommon town and due to open next May.
The target is to raise €50,000 for hospice groups across the Shannonside Northern Sound region and to get the ball rolling, the Board of Shannonside Northern Sound radio has already donated €10,000 towards the worthy cause.
Launching the drive, Chief Executive at Shannonside Northern Sound Tim O’Keeffe says of all charities, choosing hospice made sense, because unfortunately, everybody has a link to cancer.
And he wanted to remind people that every donation, no matter how small, will matter and will go, in full, directly to the hospice groups.
