Cavan's first councillors of the 2024 elections have been elected.
Independent Ireland's Shane P O'Reilly and Fine Gael's Trevor Smith were elected on the first count in the Ballyjamesduff LEA.
Whereas, O'Reilly received 1,878 and Smith 1,763 respectively, exceeding the 1,700 quota.
