The mother of a road crash victim has appealed to the Justice Minister not to let a serial offender back in the country.
Shane O'Farrell died after being hit by a car in Carrickmacross in County Monaghan in 2011.
Lithuanian national Zigimantas Gridziuska was acquitted of causing Shane's death in February 2013.
He pleaded guilty to failing to stop his car at the scene of the crash and failing to report the incident to Gardaí.
He received a suspended sentence of eight months, on condition he leave the country and not return for ten years.
That has now expired and Shane's mother Lucia doesn't want him allowed back in Ireland.
