Councillors in the Ballyjamesduff Municipal District have met with Irish Water in an effort to deal with issues that are hampering the upgrading of the Moynalty Road in Mullagh.
Those gathered at this week's meeting of the mnicipal district heard that the drain along the road is no longer able to take the level of sewerage flowing into it.
Cllr Shane P O'Reilly said the community had come together in an effort to powerhose the pipe to alleviate the problem but a more long-term solution was required.
He pointed out that an appropriate pipe would need be installed through the Moynalty Road to achieve a successful outcome. Cllr O'Reilly added that Council staff had been "very helpful" to the community with regard to the situation and he highlighted how everyone very much appreciated that support.
