Seven road deaths in Co. Monaghan last year

Provisional figures from the Road Safety Authority show a total of seven people lost their lives on Co Monaghan roads in 2023.

This represents an increase of one compared to the 2022 figure and the largest number of fatalities since 2017.

Four of the deaths were female and three were male. Three of those killed were passengers, two were drivers, one was a pedestrian and one a cyclist.
