Monaghan Rose, Anne-Marie McArdle will take to the stage in Kerry tonight as she vies for this year's Rose of Tralee title. The live finals begin on RTÉ One tonight, when entrants are expected to dress to impress, perform an act and then talk about themselves and their backgrounds with competition host Dáithí Ó Sé. Anne Marie will be the tenth rose to make her appearance on the live show tonight, which kicks off at 8pm.
Then tomorrow night, 19-year-old Grace Farrelly will represent the Breffni County on the second night of the live finals in the Dome. The English and Sociology student isn’t the only Cavan woman in the line-up as New York’s Rose Billie Cooper originally hails from Killeshandra. Co-host Kathryn Thomas says everyone involved in this year's Rose of Tralee is enjoying the experience so far: "They're so supportive of each other," Kathryn said, "and I know that sounds cliché and everyone thinks 'they're going to say that' but I do think there's a special camaraderie and they're having the times of their lives."
