A section of footpath that was recently laid in Cavan Town will be cut out and re-laid tomorrow.
During the course of the works on a footpath between the Cootehill Road and the Cavan Institute, the County Council and the contractor involved identified a small section of footpath which had to be "scarified out and re-laid to correct levels".
In a statement to Shannonside Northern Sound, Cavan County Council said "this is a normal part of the quality control process and reflective of the desire of both the council and the contractor to ensure a quality end-product".
The work is to be carried out tomorrow with the surfacing of the remaining section at the Cootehill Road end.
