There have been 303 home upgrades in Cavan; 208 in Co Monaghan, and 194 in Leitrim. Longford is the county with the lowest number of property energy upgrade grants in the country while. It comes as the new SEAI quarterly report was published this morning.
The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland is a national government body that administers grants to improve the energy efficiency of homes across the country. Following a report published by the authority this morning, it was revealed that the number of property upgrades has more than doubled this year across the Shannonside Northern Sound region since 2022.
As of June of this year, Roscommon holds the highest figure of renovated homes in the region at 455, an increase of 337 since last year, followed by Westmeath, which currently stands at 450 property upgrades. Meanwhile, Longford is the county with the least amount of property upgrades in the country, a position it has remained in since last year at only 116 renovations.
Nationally, a total of 21,727 property upgrades have been accounted in the report, 2.5 times more than that of last year.
