A Scotstown based farming family have taken home a prestigious dairy award.
Lakeland Dairies recently presented a number of accolades to various farms in their Milk Quality Awards.
Brian McGinnity, Gene McGinnity Senior and Gene McGinnity Junior from Scotstown in Monaghan were given the title of Supreme Champions of the Lakeland Dairies Milk Quality Awards.
Judges noted the exceptionally high quality of milk produced by the Monaghan based farm.
They also took home the less than 500-thousand litre producer award
The winners emerged from among 3,200 farm families across 17 counties.
