Scoil Mhuire Clontibret has been named senior county winners in the prestigious 'Someone Like Me' national art competition. The local school will now join 46 other schools to compete for the national title.
The national awards ceremony will take place in Dublin City Hall on Wednesday the 17th of January. The competition was created as part of the National Disability Authority's work to nurture more positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities. Congratulating Scoil Mhuire Clontibret , Minister of State with responsibility for disability, Anne Rabbitte said that the number of entries this year is a tribute to the commitment of Ireland's primary school teachers, who continue to play an important part in helping to create an ever-more inclusive Ireland.
