Cavan and Monaghan County Council's are joining forces during Science Week from the 10th to the 17th November 2024 and hosting a range of events locally. Adults across Cavan and Monaghan are invited to enter a Photography competition to capture the theme of Science Week 2024 which will explore the theme of regeneration. The winners for this competition will be announced during the Cavan Monaghan Science Festival and their art will also feature in local media as well as other social media platforms. The festival will culminate in the highly anticipated Big Family STEM Day at Monaghan Institute and in Kingscourt this Saturday. This grand finale will feature a plethora of interactive exhibits and activities ranging from Dinosaurs to Robots and lots in between. Speaking to Northern Sound, Karen McCague from Monaghan Library has encouraged locals to get involved.
