A school bus for Tunnyduff National School has been confirmed following an almost five week wait for 42 pupils at the school.
The issue was raised in the Dáil by local TD Niamh Smyth.
The bus will be operation from tomorrow.
Deputy Smyth made the Tánaiste aware of the situation on Thursday evening last saying that in a rural school like Tunnyduff this was a significant problem for so many to go without getting access to a school bus seat.
Deputy Smyth called on Mr Martin to make sure every resource that was possible was given to Minister Norma Foley to help her department resolve these situations that so many find themselves in.
In responding to the local TD, the Tánaiste said that as of 22nd September there was 1.2% of pupils without access to school transport and he said he would raise the issue of Tunnyduff National School with the Minister.
The Cavan Monaghan TD told the Tánaiste Micheal Martin that Joe Finnegan has spent the last three weeks on this station highlighting many other schools around the constituency that are in the same position
