Concerns have emerged over the safety of children, parents, and staff in the aftermath of Scoil Mhuire's relocation in Rockcorry.
The school transferred approximately 40 pupils to the accommodation leased from Monaghan County Council which lies adjacent to Rockcorry Creche on the Monaghan Road.
Reconstruction and extention works are being carried out to the existing school building on the Ballybay Road,
Cllr Seamus Coyle says that on Wednesday morning when the new accommodation opened, he received complaints over "near misses" of road traffic collisions.
He added that lorries use the road and the biggest dangers are posed as they round Campbell's Corner which is close to the school.
