The cost of living crisis is still a massive issue for people across the region.
That's according to Cavan Councillor Shane P O'Reilly who is running for Independent Ireland in the Cavan-Monaghan constituency in the upcoming election.
He said prices haven't gone down with people locally.

Electricity credits are absolutely fantastic according the father of five but he says the problem with once off measures, they run out. Cllr O'Reilly said changes are needed surrounding carbon tax, vat and excise duties on fuel. He says the government have been punishing rural dwellers to date.
