The route options for the Virginia bypass have been published.
A public consultation on the five options has begun and will run until Christmas.
Work is progressing on the long awaited Virginia bypass project with the five route options being published.
All options run from the end of the existing N3 dual carriageway at Whitegate and run to Lisgrey to the north of Virginia.
Three of the options run on the Killinkere and Mullagh side of the town, while one option would see the upgrading of the current N3 through the town.
A single option runs the opposite side of Lough Ramor, close to Oldcastle.
An online public consultation on the route options began today and runs until December 23rd.
