Rossmore Park, will re-open to the public tomorrow for the first time after storm Éowyn.
The re-opening of the country's most-visited forest park follows an announcement by Coillte yesterday for people to stay away from their forest estates as they had not begun the clean-up following last Friday's storm.
A statement from Coillte said their priority at this time is "to support the National Emergency Co-ordination Group, power companies and local communities, by clearing individual trees to open road access."
As some facilities return to normal a week after Éowyn, Monaghan County Council announced the reopening of the playground, two loop trails for walks and the Coffee Doc.
Access will be through the main entrance & car park on Threemilehouse Road.
The council advise people that some trails remain closed due to storm damage and ask people to "please stick to the open paths for safety".
