An Irish haulier is due before the UK Central Criminal Court today in connection with the deaths of 39 Vietnamese migrants found in the back of a lorry.
40-year-old Ronan Hughes was arrested in Monaghan in April on foot of a European Arrest Warrant and extradited from Ireland to the UK last month, following the discovery in Essex last October.
He's been held in custody, charged with manslaughter.
He will appear at the Old Bailey later for a plea hearing.
